か	かんれ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 現在では、五十公野山のハイキングコースの一部となり、大きな石碑が無ければ、ここが一般の人が城跡だと気付かないかもしれませんね。しかし上杉景勝に攻めこまれ、壮絶な討ち死にを遂げた城主、五十公野道如斎の居城だとは、よっぽどな歴史マニアか郷土愛が強い人なら分かると思います。吹けば吹き飛ぶ小城とは言いますが、一部、東中学校の敷地として削られているとは言え、城の面積は山裾から伸びる尾根筋の本当の一部。おまけに戦いの当時は、上杉景勝本人と直江兼次と同門衆に率いられた大軍に周りを囲まれ、逃げる事すらできない（降伏を拒否されたのかもしれませんが。）状況で徹底抗戦で壮絶な最期を迎えた道如斎の事を、もっと良く知ってもらいたいものですね。 Nowadays, it is part of the hiking course of Mt.
