We came here to take a meditation class at the Shunkoin Temple, which is located inside of Myoshinji Temple (the Myoshinji temple complex). We were absolutely floored to see the temple complex. It is huuuge and the buildings are stunning. Funny there was not a lot about this complex in the tour books, but it is an amazing place. We walked around for a while admiring the many buildings and still only saw a small part of the grounds.
We took a subway close to the temple and then took a taxi the last piece to get there.
Definitely worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Houkongou-in Temple is a fantastic place, with plenty of most beautiful Lotus flowers around the Buddhist Temple in the mid-summer period. Good to arrive at/near the time when the Temple opens. A truly spiritual place.
