S	Sheridan Daniels on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Madarao is in a great location. Short walk to the mountain which is a dream for an unfit person like myself. The dorm room was one of the biggest rooms I have stayed in while visiting Japan. Bathrooms are the normal Japan size, but as long as the water is hot it's all good. Only complaint was the outdoor onsen (free!) was hotter than Satan's balls, but let the staff know and they fixed it straight away. There are a few restraunts around, but I enjoyed chilling at the bar chatting to people.

J	Jake Pieria on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The town (from what I gathered) is fairly new too foreigners. The towns a little run down (abandonded hotels and shops everywhere - freaky looken ones). The hotel itself is pretty standard. The service is great! Everyone is so friendly and eager too please. Im sure the boss even showed up. So frikken awesome! Our room in particular was pretty sweet. Huuuuuge bed, buuuut ! Our heater didnt work and we used a small electric heater. Cold at night. But for what it was, totally understandable :) All in all the hotel was pretty sweet, a little more money into the rooms and such, totally expect it too become a regular spot for the perfect powder at Madarao resort??

Free WiFi and great helpful staff. 5 min walk up hill from the slopes and restaurants are just outside. Common area is kinda small, but they are attached to a bar. The included breakfast has some pretty solid eggs and green tea or coffee to wake you up. (Cereal and toast also included).
R	RLTC FAMILY on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Madarao is Pure Magic! The accommodation is perfectly positioned to get up, out and immediately enjoy the slopes. They offer a selection of rooms to accommodate a variety of travel styles and budget, including dorm shared rooms and private comfortable apartments. The rooms I experienced Madarao, were comfortable with quality beds opening out to a gorgeous view. Madarao was my personal favourite of all the places visited. Madarao is a picture perfect, postcard experience. We experienced perfect powder as late as March. Snowstorms in the evenings and bluebird days. The Madarao mountain runs cater for every level, green to varying levels of black, ninja and easily accessible backcountry. Id also highly recommend the snow monkeys. They're so cute and so close to the Mountain. Ask the staff at reception to arrange a day trip. Enjoy x
S	Steven on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bed room with private bathroom. The building itself is very modest and outdated but the room was comfortable enough. The bathroom is not much bigger than what you would find on a plane. Free wifi accessible from our room. The staff are friendly and talkative and even gave us a lift to liyama to access an ATM. Oh yeah, there is no ATM in the whole village of Madarao... The bar is good and they make a mean burger if you need something different from japanese cuisine. I have heard that the 4 and 6 bed rooms are a bit bad. But I would recommend sharing with a friend in a 2 bed room. The hire boards are very low quality. Try renting somewhere else.

The hotel host nick and Jarrod were so friendly and very accommodating and met the needs we needed. All round, would 100% be back to stay!

The first day we got there it was snowing which was so magical :) The instructors were so patient and I loved skiing on the mountain. Big thank you to the resort host, Nick and Jarrod who brought the whole group together for dinners or lunches. There was a restaurant at top of the chairlift which was so handy after skiing.
