Positives: Ski in-out Inexpensive lift tickets Not crowded on weekdays Good sized rooms Great sukiyaki dinner Great onsen Nice pastries and cakes Good receptionists Very clean, generally Negatives: Slow chairlifts Lots of snow boarders on weekends Only a la carte breakfast or set dinner Can't select orange or apple jjuice Can't have extra toast Can't exchange bacon for eggs Disappointing Kaiseki dinner Dirty lift carpet Fire place not lit Lounge and shop close early Lunch menu limited No curry or rice bowls Did not see the manager around during our stay which is quite unusual for Japanese inns. Overall: At 5 star price, it is not good value compared to other resort hotels in Niseko, Furano or Okushiga. Won't be staying here again soon but hope that its level of service will improve.

Other than skiing, the hotel features a variety of restaurants, a spa, hot bath (onsen) & other services you would expect for a high range hotel. A blissful ski getaway!
S	Stephen Grocott on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Akakura Kanko Hotel is what you'd hope a hotel to be like, the staff are so helpful & determined to attend to anything they can to make your stay a better one, the restaurants all have food prepared to a very high level and wonderfully presented. We splashed out and had took a room with an onsen on the balcony, it was a real treat, we hope to return to celebrate special anniversaries in the future!
O	Okipanda Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful hotel on the hill top of elevation 1000 meter. It's very popular among skiers during winter season. Many greenery and short routes perfect to walk around the rest of the year. Very good service. You should try the Japanese restaurant. If you like Sake, the Sake sample from Niigata prefecture is a must.

Had a private hot spring and the rest of the room was large and finished to a high standard. The communal hot spring was also great. As you can see when the weather was nice the view from the room was wonderful.

My daughter did not receive her cocoa and I had to ask for it again, despite being presented with the bill and charged for something we hadn’t received! The coffee was also warm, not hot, and lacking flavour.
