D	Drew Annitowa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed my stay at Active Life Madarao, the rooms spacious, the beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, close to the ski lifts. bar and restaurant on site, and included breakfast every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. so would i stay here again? yes !
G	Graeme Lin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, beds very comfortable and bathroom new. The spa area just renovated and relaxing after a hard days skiing. The breakfasts which were included in the price was good. The staff were the best part of the stay. They went out their way to make sure we were accommodated and being Australian, we got some great info on where to go and how to get there. Special mention to Hamish, great skiing through the trees with you. Overall enjoyed our stay
G	G Coleman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our first-year skiing in Madarao, and we were lucky to get some snow when we were there. We had a family room, which was nice. There is an onsite public bath that we did not have time to try. The onsite restaurant ( Fat Chef ) is really good, but they do need signage as more than once I helped people looking for the restaurant. Their burgers were pretty good. There is also a hamburger place across the road. There are a few other places nearby, but we did not get to try many of them in the four days we were there. The people working at Active Life were all very nice and friendly, mostly Australians and Kiwis. Finally, and MOST importantly, I cannot say enough good things about Ploy. She made the visit special for us. Active Life may not have been a five-star hotel, but Ploy made it feel like one.

The staff is incredibly kind, from the guy who picked us up at Iiyama Station, to the guys at the resort and the general manager they all made our stay very comfortable. The resort is at walking distance from the slopes, the food at the restaurant is good, the ambience in general is so easy-going it makes you feel at home. Would definitely come back!
J	Jordan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location of the hotel is really great; close enough to the ski lifts as well as must-try restaurants (including the Fat Chef!). Ploy, Lan and Hamish went out of their way to help make our stay enjoyable. They're passionate about what they do and treated all guests like VIPs :) We felt right at home in our comfortable and generously-sized deluxe double suite. Everything seemed clean and tidy, and the on-site public bath was a real treat after a day of snowboarding. You won't regret booking a stay here if you're in Madarao.
C	Cat B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edited review, as my issue has been resolved. Jan 2019: 4 minute walk from the boot room to clipping in. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but fulfilling. Good range of dinner food. Bar had good beer. Sometimes felt like staying at Faulty Towers, but I'd totally stay again. My snow boarding lessons were excellent (thanks Ry). And the gear I hired from Miyuki was top notch.

Breakfast was simple but fulfilling. Good range of dinner food. Bar had good beer. Bed was very comfy but wifi was non-existent in our room. It was about a 6 minute walk to the lifts which was pretty good.
