Comfortable room with dedicated ski resort. The lobby decorated with full of Japanese elements. Best experience for the overseas tourists

Not bad, a western style hotel with a large (too large IMO) Onsen. A bit claustrophobic after 5 nights. The buffet is quite expensive and delicious, but it didn't change much over the week I spent there. The only accommodation option at Alts Bandai

Ski in ski out next to thr Alts Bandai ski field, great facilities, hot spring is good but not too big and during peak hour might have to wait for a shower space. But it provides free popsicle ? makes it all up! Not much dinner option at all unless you take a taxi or drive to the towns nearby.

Onsen is very disappointed, only one small tub face to all shower area , more like a economic hotel only. small room, 1 flat pillow, no drink water provided nor dessert treat like traditional Onsen hotel should be~ buffet area small & food very basic dinner without fruit? breakfast only banana? food without local taste. Only good thing is nice staff.

Modern ski resort right next to ski lifts. Great facilities, nice size rooms. Not much choices for dinner apart from buffet but the resort provided a complimentary bus trip to Aizuwakamatsu every evening.

I booked the room with Go-to travel discount. The price was really attractive. But I forgot to check the piste status. The ski gelande was closed during outmr visit. And no one informed us before hand. We have to drive to Nekoma every day, even the best trail is just behind us.

It really is a mixed bag, which at 40k/room the night (no meals included) it shouldn't be. - The good : overall service and the parts that have been renovated (which are kind of random), activities for kids, and 1pm checkout. - The bad : 1) 26inch TVs from 2007 (without even an HDMI port to plug the Switch at night), 2) all WCs are old units where I couldn't fit properly (I'm 190cm), 3) Bathrooms in general are all pretty old, both in the rooms and outside them. 4) No double glass windows? (water keeps condensing like crazy, hiding the views and flooding the room), 5) There are stairs everywhere including the hotel entrance, which makes carrying ski gear a pain, 6) Pool is big and nice but everything around it (including the shower area) is really creepy & roten, 7) No open-air bath (露天風呂) is unforgivable, 8) Access to the slopes with kids is terrible (since Alts is flat, and the beginners lift is at the opposite side of the hotel ski exit, need to walk all the way there) - Summary: At half the price it'd be a nice place, but given Hoshino Resorts premium you'd better wait until they finish the renovation (assuming they keep working on it), bringing the overall experience in line with the hotel presumed status.

Large hotel with free activities and close to a lot of beautiful sights. Visited in summer so can't comment of the skiing. Nightly star watching, kids activities, free sake in the bath from 7 to 9pm, are all great. However I couldn't sleep well at night, the provided blankets were very thick and warm for summer and the AC control didn't do anything to change the temperature of the room. I expected more from a resort like this.
