★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best ramen in Nagoya, bar none. You can't go wrong when you choose Hongo Tei. I recommend the spicy ramen labeled as 西川 and don't skip on the chashu (pork belly), it's divine. If you visit during lunch hours you can get free all you can eat rice, kimchi, and other pickled foods with your meal.
Heads up: it only has seating at the counter, so if you're a party of three or more you may want to go a couple kilometers up the road to the other Hongo Tei, which has booth seating and counter seating (or be ready to split your seating).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably has the largest and most satisfying portions of any ramen place I’ve been to. I particularity recommend the spicy char siu men, it’s great. You can also get free refillable rice and pickles. Fast service, visible preparation areas and top quality Japanese fast food. Only problem is if you get one of the larger bowls the prices tend to creep up. Overall though, this place shouldn’t be missed, I left bloated and happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place serves very good ramen. They also have many types of ramen that they server but their most popular is the 白湯ラーメン which translates to white broth ramen. It is a pork bone (Tonkotsu) based broth ramen. The broth is lighter than most Tonkotsu ramen places and there is also a combo you can get for around 800¥ which includes three thickly sliced char su (pork belly) and half of an egg. This place is recommended for Tonkotsu ramen lovers.
