it is easy to access Miyajima/ Itsukushima shrine.
And price is reasonable.
I recommend round ticket from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hop on hop off buses leave from Hiroshima train station. Its free with JR pass and takes you to all the main attractions. Castle, peace park museum, peace park memorial and cenotaph, Dome. Beautiful city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taking a boat ride from Hiroshima to Miyajima will take you through the world heritage route and normally boat slows down when passing through some places of historical significance. People are allowed to come on deck for seeing outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gentleman / queen's way to get to Miyajima from central Hiroshima. More expensive than the other options but will save you 30-60 minutes depending on which other port you use. Scenic for most of the trip. Buy the round trip pass (it's not tied to a specific time) to save a few bucks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for a trip out to Miyajima island. 45 minutes one way, right next to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park. Taking the JR train and ferry is cheaper, or free with a JR Pass, but we found the convenience outweighed the price for a quick day trip to Hiroshima. It was also very scenic, with both river and sea portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think it is convenient for people who stay around the area but if you have a JR pass it is FREE with other ferries. This one is private so it costs 3,600 yen return which I think it is a bit exy.
I don’t understand why they call it world heritage rout. Leaving from the Atomic bomb site? Marketing strategy?
Normally it is packed with people on the ferry. Once you arrived at Miyajima Island it is packed with tourist lining up for restaurants and entry to get to Itsukushima Shrine. You have no where to move around the restaurants and it is just over crowded we went back to Hiroshima instead. I think if you want to enjoy your time you have to get there pretty early. We were there about 12pm.
