★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On this station there are two different entrances, one reserved for a local company, another are the 'JR ferries', which are the only ones that accept any Japan Rail Pass. Service is excellent, providing lots of ferries even during the low seasons (for ex. January). Available ferries to deliver cars to Miyajima. Check out also the last ferry if you come late, since ferries to Miyajima end earlier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great ferry with a wonderful staff! Beautiful views of the bay and surroundings. Less than ten minutes to the pier to see the Great Torii. Such a great ride ! And free with JR Pass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I bought local one day passes (streetcar+ferry at 840 yen each) at the Hiroshima Tourist Information Centre near the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. After getting off from the Miyashimaguchi terminus on January 13, 2018, we noted that there were two ferry lines going to Miyashima. Having compared the words and colour scheme on our passes with the pier sign, we knew ours was on the left hand side, showed our passes and got on board!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ferry is great. If you have a JR Pass you can just walk to the dock, no need to show it to anyone. They will only check your ticket or JR Pass on Miyajima.
It can get pretty crowded though. Returning from Miyajima, the line for the ferry was very long, around 100m.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ferry cruise to Miyajima. There are two types of ferry, JR ferry and other one. Each of them you can get pass to save your expenses. Approximately 10 min one way journey, cruise every 10 to 20 min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Any pass that works on JR lines works on the ferry. There's near constant trips to the island so you can take your time getting there or returning. Plus it's no more expensive than your typical train ride.

The price its not that expensive but if you got JR Pass it'd Wass bundle with this package, please plan you visit as here a bit crowded and need to queue long for getting at the ferry. Base on facilities this ferry its amazing
