I could see Mt. Fuji at Lake Kawaguchi, but I couldn't see it because of clouds on the way to here. It's not a big waterfall, but it wasn't so cold, but it was frozen and I was impressed.

The view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from my mother's Shirataki parking lot is the best during the autumn colors. It is said that the whole view of Mt. Fuji can be seen for several hours from the early morning on a sunny day, and it is better to go before 8 am before the clouds increase. The amount of water in the waterfall was not so large, and the stairs leading up to the top were well maintained so that I could see the waterfall with peace of mind. There are only 10 parking lots for the waterfall, and there is no toilet, so it is recommended that you use the municipal toilet at the entrance of Kawaguchi Fuji Asama Shrine. Especially for the first time, the forest road to the parking lot is a narrow road that is almost paved but cannot be passed face-to-face, so you need to be very careful with oncoming vehicles.

I went to early spring ~ It wasn't so cold, but the waterfall was still snowy ... or rather, the water and some of the waterfalls were frozen, and there was an icicle near the scaffolding of the ice and the small uncle stone statue. Romantic ~ Climbing the narrow stairs leads to a dam, which leads to a mountain pass leading to the pass. Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji can be seen from the parking lot ? It seems that a petite campsite will be built around here ??‍♀️

Beautiful shrine, ancient pine trees, and waterfalls a short hike away.

Neat little shrine and tori gate beside the hahanoshirataki waterfall. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

The owner of our hotel brought us here for sunrise and even though Mt. Fuji was surrounded by clouds I feel so lucky to have come here. Fantastic small shrine next to the beautiful falls! What a wonderful place.

Parking is free and there's no admittance fee. It's less than a ten minute walk to the falls. There's a steep trail that goes far up to another set of falls. It was beautiful! Be careful, though. I tripped a couple of times and there were huge ice blocks that had fallen from the frozen portion of the falls.

An easy hike, free parking and no entrance fee. If you’re already in the are, it is definitely worth going up to the top to see both shrines. Wouldn’t recommend having a large backpack with you as the staircase is very narrow.
