★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この沼のほとりを通るたび、ワタスゲが咲く以外はつまらない所だと勘違いしていました。その魅力は池塘がちりばめられていることにあります。地表からは見られない（立ち入り禁止のため）池塘をご覧ください。長沼への道端にはキヌガサソウやサンカヨウの群落も。岩手の茶臼岳から八幡平頂上を越えてここを通り蒸けの湯に至るコースも静かでよいところです。
Every time I passed by this swamp, I misunderstood that it was a boring place except for the blooming cotton grass. Its charm is that it is studded with ponds. Please see the pond, which cannot be seen from the surface of the earth (because it is off limits). On the roadside to Naganuma, there are also communities of Paris japonica and skeleton flowers. The course from Mt. Chausu in Iwate, over the top of Hachimantai, through here to the steaming water is also a quiet and nice place.
