★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 井戸は、古くから京都名水の一つとされています、初代の井戸は新幹線の高架橋の下になってしまい現在は2代目ですが同じ水脈から汲み上げているそうです。
 The well has long been regarded as one of the famous waters of Kyoto, and the first well is under the viaduct of the Shinkansen, and it is now the second generation, but it seems to be pumped from the same water vein.

Benzaiten in the precincts of Rokusonno Shrine. The "birth water" that Minamoto no Mitsunaka used for producing hot water is springing up. 奉納者が刻まれた石が古くて昔から信仰があつかった辨財天社なんだろうなと思います。

I think that the stone carved with the dedicator is an old Benzaiten shrine that has been worshiped for a long time.

本殿に東側にある池に面して祀られています。
由緒書によると、六孫王神社の御祭神である源経基公が長男の満仲公誕生時に、健育・知育のため、井戸の上に竹生島の弁財天を勧進し、誕生水弁財として祀ったことが始まりであるとのことです。
It is a Benzaiten shrine in the precincts of Rokusonno Shrine.
It is enshrined in the main shrine facing the pond on the east side.
According to the history book, Minamoto no Tsunemoto, the deity of the Rokusonno Shrine, promoted Benzaiten on Chikubu Island on the well for health and education when his eldest son, Minamoto no Tsuneka, was born, and worshiped it as a birth water Benzaiten. That is the beginning.
