★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was our first sukiyaki and it was delicious ! What a pity the experience was completely ruined by the service. The waiters made us feel that we were not welcome. That is not acceptable for a 5000¥ lunch (even if it is reasonnable for a sukiyaki). It was not chocking, just far from the good sense of hospitality we were used to in Japan. They don't deserved all this fame... I could tell you to go if you are just hungry but I can't because the quantities are small ?♀️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here last month to try their sukiyaki because I saw mark wiens vlog and from what I read at the restaurant menu this restaurant has been around since 1886. Their sukiyaki is very simple (only consist of wagyu beef, tofu, leek and shirataki noodle) but the beef quality is very good indeed. The price tag however is quite expensive in my opinion but if you came around to asakusa area (near sensoji temple) you have to go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 100 year old sukiyaki institution in Asakusa. Set lunch of beautiful Wagyu beef set in a restaurant that takes you back in time. A step back in time in Tokyo. The beef was wonderfully “melt in mouth” good, cooked in a sauce with vegetables and tofu. Great eaten with fluffy Japanese rice. A great find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very good restaurant. We ordered the premium wagyu set and the beef was so good.
Staff were friendly and spoke English and they have English menus and take credit cards.
Each person in your group must order a set because they portion the ingredients given according to how many sets/people order. Trust me there won’t be enough if you share.
They have regular tables but we opted to sit in the tatami mat room.
Order rice and eat the sukiyaki/nabe with the wagyu beef and dip the meat in raw egg. It will taste really good. Don’t worry about getting sick eating raw egg, Japanese eggs are different and perfectly safe to eat raw. If you have a sensitive stomach though, I would probably avoid.
The server will place the first round of ingredients and explain how to cook/eat it.
It is a little expensive but it’s also an experience eating here. In my opinion it was worth it.

The place look old and traditional, 100 yrs shop la.
The Wagyu beef was excellent, the taste was superb.
The menu was simple, the price is steep and expensive, the portion is slightly small and ended up need to add more.
Come to taste the traditional or come for special occasion.
Good to drink and chat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beef is excellent! They are A5 grade! Plus the lunch set price is really reasonable, I ate whole set which is only 5000 yen. The beef are soft and tender, so juicy! The Sukiyaki sauce is really rich and tasty! Highly recommended
