サ	サント船長 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 七条通より南へ細い路地の奥に権現寺(ごんげんじ)がある。かつて「朱雀(しゅじゃか)権現堂」、「朱雀地蔵堂」とも呼ばれた。山号を清光山、院号を成就院という。かつて「祇陀林寺(ぎだりんじ)」、「歓喜寺(歓喜壽院)」、「広幡院」ともいわれ、それぞれの寺院の歴史が絡んでいる。権現寺の門前には、世に「六条判官」と呼ばれた河内源氏の棟梁・源為義の石塔残欠を集めた供養塔があります。源為義は源氏の衰退期の棟梁として、｢保元の乱（１１５６）」で処刑されたことで知られる人物です。為義は、対馬守源義親の子として永長元年（１０９６）に生まれました。｢前九年の役」や｢後三年の役」で活躍して武勇の士として知られた「八幡太郎」義家は祖父に当ります。説話の『山椒大夫』に登場する津子王(厨子王丸)が、丹波より逃れてきた寺ともいう。 Gongenji is in the back of a narrow alley south of Shichijo-dori.
