The wooden 500 Rakan statue, which is an important cultural property of Tokyo, is a masterpiece. It is also worth seeing the Seihoden, which displays materials that tell the history of the temple. Lunch and tea at "Rakanchaya" and "Rakanchaya" in front of the temple office You can enjoy it. There are 4 types of red stamps, and you can write them directly.

The building looks like a new religious movement with no fragments of taste. You can't help but see the butt-wood railings on the fence of the Rakan-do, which is right next to the reception desk. However, the 500 Rakan statue itself is not bad. There are about 300 extant, but it is spectacular to line up with the main hall and the Rakando. Speaking of Meguro, the 100 stairs of Gajoen is a spectacular sight, and it is also one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo. There is also the Meguro Parasitological Museum in Meguro Fudo, and you can fully enjoy it if you combine them. The amulet of Baku is recommended for the gifts.

I had no idea such an amazing temple was actually located around my neighborhood!! Beautiful property and mind-blowing statues!! Peaceful main building is worth visiting too.

Visited late afternoon on a Sunday and had this peaceful and contemplative spot to ourselves. English explanation of the Arhat statues is provided via computer touch screen and is very interesting. Highlight was the main hall, which includes more statues. Take a seat and listen to the recorded buddhist chanting while you unwind and try to figure out which of your relatives the Arhat statues resemble.

Was lucky to stumble upon this by coincidence while a shrine festival (matsuri) was held. No entry fee, really beautiful nonetheless. Edit: Seems it was the local Tanabata matsuri! A bit unexpected because not on 07.07., but whatever. Adding the tanabata bambus tree I found nearby, too.
