★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very special experience. Our room had private outdoor baths and it was amazing! Sleeping on futons and wearing yukatas, we felt like we were truly experiencing Japan. Go to the town during the day and get a curry pan, go at night and use the foot onsen and see the town lit up! Half board is included in the room we booked. If you love seafood you are in for a treat. Just over ¥1000 per meal to request menu changes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel was great. Nice both dinner and breakfast. Some of staffs can speak English. However, they look busy all the time. The view from our room and onsen area are incredibly beautiful. But, when comparing everything with overall price I still consider this is too expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luxurious hotel. We had the room with what was advertised as a private Onsen. We did have two hot baths on the balcony. The didn't have real hot spring water in them though. But it was nice to sit and soak and view the mountain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible! The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the rooms are quite nice. Some of the staff can speak English, so feel free to call or email them. Reservations were easy enough to make with the help of Google translate and we had no trouble getting to this place. You can opt to purchase kaiseki dinner and breakfast buffet with your reservation. Worth it! There was plenty of food and it was all delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay at the Ginzanso was really pleasant. The bedrooms are big, the futons are great quality but I would recommend to bring your own pillow if you don't like the Japanese style ones. The food, served in the room was delicious. Special shoot out to the staff that was very accomoding and that did they possible to make us feel welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So you really need to see what you want if your staying here.
Food is superb, prepared with care and the taste is on point.
Ambiente is good, the Onsen they have has a nice view on the landscape as well.
Service is very good, they will help and advice you on anything (not sure though if they would do it in english as well).
Now the room itself was very big and i liked the cozyness in it. We had booked a room with 2 hottubs outside, which are not filled with Onsen Water btw. It was good relaxing there also temperature was hot in both the hottub and the Onsen because a few people complained here that it w hot enough.
So what i have to complain about is the cleanliness of the hottubs outside. You could see calcstains and clearly it hasnt been deepcleaned for some time. Also the mirror was completely stained outside. Inside it was cleaned well but just outside it was disappointing. Also the wood that they generously used outside at the hottub section is not oiled or protected whatsoever so it starts to look dull and white.
In Ginzan Onsen itself there is not really alot of activities or restaurants its basically all Ryokans. There is one single Onsen you can go to as a visitor and i sighted 2 or 3 restaurants but else not much. So if you stay i recommend max. 2 nights.
The Onsen at Ginzanso itself is also basically just one big bath inside and outside. Not alot of areas where you can go relax for yourself when it gets a bit more crowded.
To finish this review off, for the experience and the views i can definitely recommend to go here in January or February.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is just near the bus stop and close to the main attraction place. Surprisingly there’s neither lunch service nor room service in the hotel. Therefore make sure that you don’t arrive at the hotel while hungry. Get ready to remain hungry if you cannot get Japanese style breakfast. I wish foreigners was considered and some bread, jam and butter added. Some of the staff are not friendly enough and no one speaks English. The indoor and outdoor onsens are very nice, especially at night. Overall, nice hotel but very expensive if you think about what you get!
