When I got close to my car on a trip, I took only a picture of the exterior. It was a big station building.

The station building is really beautiful, but the reality is that there is only one train per hour and there are almost no passengers. I felt a sense of discomfort with the catch phrase "Ganbaro Tohoku".

The station building is certainly fine. If you look only at this station building, you might think that "Futaba Town is finally recovering", but when you look around the station, there are almost no residents living there or stores that are open. It's bad to say, but it was the scenery of Futaba-cho where I felt a strong sense of discomfort just because there was a big and splendid station in the ghost town. And now the media has barely reported, but the radiation dose is still high. When I carry the Geiger counter with me, the alarm keeps ringing. Since there are no residents, there are of course no passengers getting on and off here, but if young people such as high school students, young children, pregnant women, etc. who are commuting to school get on and off here. To be clear, it's bad for your health. Anyway, why did the station renovate and reopen while the town itself was still in such a state? I don't understand the meaning. Futaba Town is recovering by making it look good on the surface. Do you want to appeal? And do you want to rebuild the nuclear power plant myth again and restart nuclear power plants all over Japan? ?? I wrote it for a long time, but I think this is just the reopening of the station related to concessions.

A station that was newly built and reopened in line with the reopening of all Joban Lines on March 14, 2020. Almost the entire area of Futaba Town is still designated as a difficult-to-return area, and it is easy to think that there are no children, but since the access restrictions themselves have been lifted (but not everywhere), if a train arrives. There are several people getting on and off (the limited express also stops), there are cars, buses, and signals, so it doesn't look like a ghost town at all. It's a nice unmanned station as a station. It seems that the town is aiming to return to Japan by 2022 by constructing a reconstruction housing on the west side of the station (currently under construction). Namie Town, which returned to its office in 2017, has some people, so it may be possible to expect some recovery.

It was reopened since March 2020. The station is unmanned. The building is good and fresh. Little bit feeling lonely when was here though. I was here because I visited the newly opened The Great East Japan Earthquake and Disaster Memorial Hall. There’s a shuttle bus from this station to the hall. It’s free. Make sure to check the schedule. There’s a sign showing the changing of radiator level. It’s a one platform station.
