★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 源頼朝が兄朝長の菩提を弔うため、鎌倉時代に創建したと言われる寺院です。室町時代後期には衰退していましたが、徳川家康の命により可睡斎の等膳和尚が曹洞宗の寺院として中興しました。
頼朝の父義朝、兄の義平と朝長、三基の五輪塔が、参道脇の小さなお堂の中に祀られています。美しい庭園も見どころです。
ちなみに地名の「友永」は「朝長」に因むものだそうです。
This temple is said to have been built in the Kamakura period by Minamoto no Yoritomo to mourn the bodhi of his older brother Tomonaga. Although it had declined in the latter half of the Muromachi period, Akiha Sohonden's Kazuhisa Tozen was reborn as a temple of the Soto sect at the behest of Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Yoritomo's father, Yoshitomo, his brother, Yoshihira and Tomonaga, and three five-wheeled towers are enshrined in a small hall beside the approach. The beautiful garden is also a highlight.
By the way, the place name "Tomonaga" is associated with "Tomonaga".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三基の五輪塔が祀られているお堂付近の参道脇にあるクスノキの幹から植物が生えています。(判別できなくてごめんなさい)
私が訪れた時には花はありませんでしたが、クスノキの幹に植物が生えているのは、はじめて見ましたしとても珍しい物かと思います。(花を見たかったなぁ)
すぐ近くに三代目、頼朝松があります。まだまだ子供の木ですが、カッコいい樹冠です。
山門の左側(山門をくぐる前に左を向いて下さい)にある木(判別できなくてごめんなさい)は周りの木々とは、風格が違い私は足が止まりました。
南側の高台(広場の横から登れます。)からの眺望がとてもいいです。
クスノキの幹に生える花を調べたく11ヶ月ぶりの訪問、花は咲いておらず、クチコミの写真の花と実際見た葉っぱでの判断ですが、ホトトギスの花かなぁと思います。(ホトトギスであれば7月頃咲きます。)
山門をくぐった左側にはギンヨウアカシアの木がたくさんの黄色い花を咲かせて
います。(今が見頃です。)
以前訪れた時、ねむの木かと思っていました。
いい物を見た気がしました。

Plants grow from the trunk of camphor tree on the side of the approach to the temple where the three five-wheeled towers are enshrined. (I'm sorry I can't tell)
There were no flowers when I visited, but I think it's very rare to see plants growing on the trunk of camphor tree for the first time. (I wanted to see the flowers)
The third generation, Yoritomomatsu, is in the immediate vicinity. It's still a child's tree, but it's a cool canopy.
The tree on the left side of the gate (turn left before going through the gate) (sorry for not being able to distinguish it) is different from the surrounding trees and I stopped.
The view from the hill on the south side (you can climb from the side of the square) is very nice.
I visited for the first time in 11 months to find out the flowers that grow on the trunk of camphor tree, and the flowers haven't bloomed. (If it is a lesser cuckoo, it will bloom around July.)
Acacia bailey trees bloom many yellow flowers on the left side after passing through the gate.

When I visited before, I thought it was a silk tree.
I felt like I saw a good one.
