★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 行くまでの道はすれ違いできない細くて急坂、銀杏の木は確かに大きいけどマーライオン同様にだから何？って感じ。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道幅も狭く難儀して見つけた割にはイマイチですが、なぜか毎年、寄りたくなって会いに行ってます。何か引きつけるものがあるのでしょう。ここから登って左に曲がると愛宕山中継所から柴田町が一望でき、反対に下ると「こだわり街道」というテレビ番組でも紹介されたスゴイところがあります。

If you climb from here and turn left, you can see Shibata Town from the Atagoyama Relay Station. On the contrary, there is a wonderful place that was introduced in the TV program "Dedicated Road".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雨乞のイチョウは愛宕山中腹にあり、推定樹齢650年、樹高31ｍ、幹回11ｍ、枝張り東14ｍ、西12ｍ、南11ｍ、北13ｍ、雄株です。
案内板には「乳柱の発達が著しく、長さ４ｍ直径50cmに達するものをはじめ、16本の乳柱を数える。樹勢が旺盛で樹容も美しく、イチョウの巨樹として全国屈指のものである。柴田町教育委員会」とあります。
雨乞のイチョウは昭和４３年に国天然記念物（植物）に指定されています。
ここは昔、人々が雨乞いの祈りを捧げた場所でもあり、イチョウの根元付近の湧き水は一度も枯れたことがないと言われています。
The rain-making ginkgo tree is located on the hillside of Mt. Atago, and is estimated to be 650 years old, 31 m high, 11 m trunk, 14 m east of branching, 12 m west, 11 m south, 13 m north, and male.

Ginkgo biloba was designated as a national natural monument (plant) in 1968.
It was once a place where people prayed for rain, and it is said that the spring water near the base of the ginkgo tree has never died.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 樹齢600年以上の大銀杏は昔雨乞いをしたとのこと。かなりの大木で上からみたアングルが美しい。道は狭く急坂を行くと北限のゆずの農家さんの道の途中にあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道は車一台しか通れない山道ですが全面アスファルト舗装路です。銀杏の木の上には販売店が有ります。近くにベンチがあり槻木の町が一望出来ます。
