★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 春には千本桜、夏には紫陽花と季節を通して美しい草花が咲き乱れる公園です。城址公園ですが本丸跡までいくと、慈愛の表情の観音様が出迎えてくれます。

残念ながら櫓などは残っておらず，各曲輪が残されているばかりです。
ただ実際のお城という事もあり、沿道は急勾配となっていて、さながら足軽になった気分で観光する事ができます。
また、春には桜が咲き誇り、白石川から城跡に至るまで桜一面の絶景を眺める事が出来ます。参考までに私が春に訪れた際の本丸跡からの景色を添付します。
歴史好きの方にはおススメですが，天守閣やお堀といった綺麗なお城が好きな方には向かないかもしれません。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing sakura viewing spot. It was on full bloom on April 3rd. Weather was great. Full of flowers, steep bit clean and nice path. There is free parking area. You can have a picnic with your family. There are bathrooms available. I liked it.
