鳥天丼というのを頼んでみると、天つゆセットで付いてきたのは思いがけず嬉しい
 I don't see many set meal shops in the neighborhood, so I stopped by and got hooked. It seems that students often come.
When I asked for a chicken bowl, I was unexpectedly happy that it came with the Tentsuyu set.

チキンカツ定食のご飯大盛りを注文。(￥880)
届いたのを見ると、大盛りご飯が思った以上に山盛りでビックリします。
腹が減ってたのでこういう食べ盛り向けのモリモリご飯は助かります。
肉厚でサクサクジューシーなチキンカツに冷凍とは違った良さのツルツルモチモチの少うどん、粕汁、小さいれんこんの小鉢と、どれを食べても美味しく、丁寧に作られているのを感じます。ご飯も甘くて美味いです。
ちょうど自分が来て満席になり、その後も入れ代わり立ち代わり客が来ていました。
店の女将さんと仲良く会話してるのを見るに、観光客だけでなく地元の常連さんに愛されている店なのだろうと思いました。

I ordered a large serving of chicken cutlet set meal. (¥ 880)
When I saw it arrived, I was surprised to see a heap of rice more than I expected.
I'm hungry, so this kind of moly-moly rice for serving is helpful.
The thick, crispy and juicy chicken cutlet, the smooth udon noodles, the soup stock, and the small lotus root bowl, which are different from the frozen ones, are delicious and carefully made. The rice is also sweet and delicious.
I just came and it was full, and after that, there were customers taking turns.
When I saw the conversation with the owner of the store, I thought it was loved not only by tourists but also by local regulars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small as it might seems, a friend of mine has highly recommend this restaurant to me.
It's said that the most attractive thing is not merely the native delicious foods, but also the special experience to enjoy.
I've been to Kyôtô once before but didn't stay long. I bet I'll come to this city again in one year or two, and I'll definitely pay a visit here then.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food and service. A super dooper lucky find. I want to go again and again. Our favourite find so far in Japan with a VERY local feel. They came our especially with a tablet with photos and English description of their meals. They even made up a special meal for our baby free of charge as he is only 9 mths and cannot eat large chunky adult foods yet! LOVE THIS PLACE

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite local place to have lunch. They have udon noodle, soba noodles, katsudon, ginger pork, defied chicken set etc.. all the menu are so good and prices are real and fair unlike places near the touristic spots in Kyoto. Recommend!

I really recommend you to try the oyakoni teishoku set. The broth and chicken are really good with rice. Each teishoku set comes with salad, mini sized udon, miso soup, some pickles and vegetables. I had my rice sized down and it was still very filling...
Service is good as well! Everything here tastes like home cooked food, very comforting. Much better than teishoku restaurants in malls etc in terms of food and price. Five stars! ✨
