指定名「吉田神社の見晴台」
包含風景「朝日山，薬王院，笠原水源地，吉田古墳，常照寺」
旧水戸市の6つある指定の１つ。現在の水戸市にある８ヶ所の１つです。
この碑は、吉田神社の入り口に設置されています。
珍しいことに「茨城百景」の文字がありません。さらに裏側に「昭和二十六年十月建立」と彫られています。
旧水戸市には、他に「偕楽園」「弘道館と水戸城址」「保和苑と藤田東湖の墓」「愛宕山とさらし井」「白幡山八幡宮」が茨城百景として指定されています。
