再建した東大手門と櫓は美しい❗大手門への橋を渡り、下を覗いたら線路、山形新幹線が通過するらしい。おもしろい❗大手門と櫓の内部は無料公開中。次は桜?の季節に訪れたい。大手門に架かる橋は修理していました。この橋も復元したとのこと。

中は資料館になっていて無料で入れた。
百名城スタンプ設置場所。
資料館は歴史がよくわかる工夫がなされていたが
現代的ではなく比較的近代的な資料館である。
とても丁寧に再建されており、こういった再建は
往時の雰囲気が想像しやすくなるのでありがたいね。

webサイトで調べたら
江戸時代中期の門を史料をもとに平成3年に11億円かけて復元したとのこと
立派でとても美しい門でした。
訪れたのが早朝でしたので、枡形にいると
人影は殆どなく、鳥の囀りが聞こえる中、
江戸時代にタイムスリップした気分を味わうことができました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of Yamagata City's top tourist locations. I recommend visiting in Spring. There are cherry trees that line the moat and they are spectacular in full blossom.
