If you are a tourist like me you might have noticed that coffee from most places in Japan are too weak and or have too much milk/sugar. If you are just after a decent coffee, this is the place to go. The cafe is very cosy and all have some light food on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice local coffee shop. My wife and I stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel and were looking for a comfortable shop for coffee. I found Dream Coffee one morning while just walking around the Ikebukuro area. It's a nice break from the chain shops. Very good blended coffee, plus jam or egg toast. I brought my wife the next day and she liked it. Give it a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked by a coffee shop and felt like a cup. Found a little cozy shop near my hotel. The coffee was amazing, so much that I had to get a second cup. Had a nice cheese and egg toast too. A pleasant surprise and a good accidental find!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great café. I tried their ヴィーナーコーヒー (Wiener coffee) for ¥300 and it was delicious, just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. It’s a half cup of brewed coffee topped with whipped cream. The café has a cozy atmosphere with sort of retro vibes and good light from windows. Perfect for chilling.
