★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国の重要文化財。東北学院旧宣教師館は明治20年頃に宣教師のために建てられた住宅で，東北学院土樋キャンパスの西端に所在する。外観は南面から東面にかけてバルコニーを設ける，いわゆるコロニアルスタイルで，外壁を下見板張とする。内部一階は玄関ホールを中心に書斎，居間，食堂等を配し，二階は寝室とし，主人用，使用人用の動線を明確に分離した平面構成をもつ。我が国に残る外国人宣教師住宅の最初期の事例として希少であり，高い歴史的価値を有している。
 National important cultural property. The Tohoku Gakuin Former Missionary Hall is a house built for missionaries around 1890 and is located at the western end of the Tohoku Gakuin Tsuchitoi Campus. The exterior is a so-called colonial style with a balcony from the south side to the east side, and the outer wall is clapboard. The first floor of the interior has a study, living room, dining room, etc. centered on the entrance hall, and the second floor is a bedroom, with a plane structure that clearly separates the flow lines for the master and employees. It is rare as the earliest example of a foreign missionary house remaining in Japan, and has high historical value.
