Horyuji Daikoudou Summary: A large auditorium in the main hall of Horyuji Temple, a place to preach Buddhism, where the big Yakushi Sanson (Yakushi Nyorai, Moonlight Bodhisattva, Nikko Bodhisattva) is enshrined (Heian period, national treasure) It was rebuilt in 990, 65 years after the lightning strike. Highlights: Impressions: Rather than an auditorium, I get the impression that it is similar to the main hall of a normal temple. (Because Yakushi Sanson is big and has no depth)

I came to have the prince preach. I felt like I heard the voice of heaven, but it's not a hallucination. I will devote myself!

The Buddhist study facility is located at the deepest part of Saiin Cathedral and is currently used for the Buddhist memorial service. Inside the temple, which was rebuilt during the Heian period, the statue of Yakushi Sanson and the statue of Shitenno are also enshrined.

The large auditorium of Horyuji Temple was rebuilt in the first year of the Shoryaku era (990) and is said to be a place for monks to study. The statue of the principal idol, Yakushi Sanson, is from the same period. Nakason is made of one tree, and the samurai on both sides are made of parquet, which is made by joining two materials together in the center of the body. Both the auditorium and the principal image are designated as national treasures.

The Great Lecture Hall (Daikōdō) was originally used by monks as a place of study and, occasionally, memorial services. Inside you will find statues of a Buddha and two attendants ('Yakushi Triad') as well as a number of other treasures and a nice view of the Five-Story Pagoda and Main Hall.
