★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great little cafe that serves coffee with desserts as well as a range of breakfast food. The food here is fantastic, fresh and delicious. The individual foods available on the menu are a little bit pricy although considering how great the food here is I'd recommend it regardless. However, this cafe offers 3 diffirent breakfast menu sets with the largest offering a coffee, scrambled eggs with bacon, salad and toast which when bought as part of the set is actually very cheap at around 800 yen, so I recommend you get one of the breakfast sets if you visit here. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because the cafe permits smoking inside which as a non-smoker is not very nice while eating, though this may or not bother you personally. The staff understands some English and the menu does have English names next to everything although the translation is not great on some of the items (for example pancakes are listed as "hot cakes" on the menu) so if you're unsure of what something is make sure to ask. Overall a great place for breakfast and coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place that calls itself coffee shop doesn’t serve espresso but when I said that I didn’t want anything else they forced me to order anyway, although we, 2 ppl, already ordered a cup of tea. So I ordered an americano that looks and tastes like dirty water and costs double what Starbucks costs in Japan. Stay away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No frills Western style breakfast with limited options at a affordable price (~800¥ for breakfast + coffee). Bacon, eggs and toast were tasty. FYI the restaurant allows smoking, with no non-smoking areas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on my experience today, not the place for anyone who values good coffee. Or even moderately passable coffee for that matter. They call themselves a "Coffee Shop", but point-blank declined our request for something as simple as a double-shot latte. The 'latte' that did arrive was an insipid, milky bilge that tasted like it had a pinch of almost-coffee-like substance thrown vaguely in the direction of our cups from several hundred metres away into a strong headwind, at least seven molecules of which miraculously made it far enough. Bleughh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice cafe on the corner of the main Gion promenade. Feels like a locals place, little bit pricey compared to the norm but lovely coffee and cake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needed caffein and so just walked into the shop . Good coffee but you will have hard time breathing if you're a non-smoker.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice classic café with cute desserts and sandwiches. The service was also good! I paid 500¥ for a cup of earl grey.
The only thing preventing a five star review is the smoke scent.
