M	Morning Sunday on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really good meal and atmosphere, highly recommend the set of Free range chickens assorts grown in Tanba. All the signature cuisine you can try. The staff are all nice but only one man makes me really sad, a man with beard ignored our need and help just because we can’t speak Japanese

Tempura course was nothing short of excellent and everything on the menu was greatly executed. Only downside was that the stewed chicken course was on the salty side and a tad tough. But that aside, definitely worth a try!

We had a mixture of different small dishes to share that were all fantastic and then had a chicken sukiyaki hotpot to share. This was really good fun and was nice to have a big bubbling hot pot in the middle of the table. The staff were very friendly and provided lots of information about the origin and making process of all the different sakes that we tried. (They have a LOT to try!). Nice that they provide really comfy slippers too for you to use!!!!

Everything was great until it came time to pay the bill. We were the last table to pay, and between my husband and I, we tried four, yes four, credit cards, but according to the staff none of them were working on their machine. The staff’s English was broken so we could not understand what the problem was - we knew it wasn’t our credit cards as we had been using them without trouble all throughout Kyoto & Tokyo. Our hotel made the reservation for us and I asked them in advance if the restaurant accepts credit cards, which they said yes to. So again, we had no clue why 4 cards didn’t work, unless the staff just wanted to wrap up their last table with easy cash?? My husband had to walk to an ATM 5 minutes away while I sat in the restaurant alone. Awkward. The staff also didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience while I waited or when he got back from his ATM trip. It ended what was otherwise a very pleasant evening on a weird and kind of sour note. Moral of the story is have enough cash here, just in case, even if they say they accept credit cards.

Ordered two sets, one was beef rice and one was premium lunch set. Tasted good and the price was reasonable. The shop was a comfortable one like home. For lunch, they offered not many choices of sake but all local brands!
