駐車場も400円。GWに行きましたが止めれました。
It is a place not to be missed if you like chestnuts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北斎館周辺は散策ができ雰囲気がとても良くてお勧めです。雑貨屋、甘味処、土産店が有ります。駐車場と会館は有料です。写真は周辺のものです。

歩いていて気持ちのいい道です。名産の栗の木を敷き詰めた道は、木の感触が足に優しいやすらぎの小径。土色の壁と瓦屋根がコントラストとなって情緒ある空間を生み出しています。
近くにはスイーツ店やレストランもあり、全く飽きません。
ちなみにこの場所名と同じ名前のお菓子があります。
【小布施堂 栗の小径】
つるりとのどごしの良い水栗羊羹を中心とした、小布施堂を代表する栗菓子の夏向きの詰合せ。栗鹿ノ子、楽雁、栗羊羹の食べきりサイズが好評です。
こちらも立ち寄ったら購入しておきたい一品です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北斎館から高井鴻山記念館に繋がる, 静寂に包まれひっそりとした小径でとても趣が, あります. 小径の床材は, 小布施の栗?の間伐材を使用.(かなりこだわっています) 小径の傍らには栗?の木が植えて風情を演出しています. なんだか心が落ち着きます.
The small diameter, which connects from the Hokusai-kan to the Takai Koyama Memorial Hall, is very tasteful. The small-diameter flooring is made from obuse chestnuts ? thinned wood. A chestnut ? tree is planted beside it to create a taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel like there might be more on offer in the area in the other non-winter seasons.
It made for a pleasant stroll after the museum and it was nice to see that many homes in the area are part of an “open garden” scheme where you can see their gardens.
Nice enough area with some interesting cafes and souvenir shops.
