★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charcoal Grill Green in Ishikwacho, Yokohama serves some great food (as does their Bashamichi area location).
I recently went on a Saturday for lunch and had the cheeseburger lunch special and some Buffalo wings, since I hardly ever see them offered on menus here.
The Buffalo wings were pretty good, though not as spicy as I like (but certainly among the better ones I’ve had in Japan), and served with Ranch dressing instead of Blue cheese, which is fine by me. The burger was a tasty and well-seasoned, thick “hockey puck”-like patty which came with potato wedges, salad and a drink. Not bad for 980 yen. Charcoal Grill Green has a couple locations in Yokohama and is definitely worth hitting up for a decent meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I haven’t experienced the various meats that are the trademark dishes of this establishment, I did try one of their hamburgers.
I ordered the chili cheese burger. It came with two different types of fries, sliced sweet potato and smashed baby russets.
Except for the meat, all of the ingredients were fantastic. Perhaps I was just unlucky with my burger, but I bit into pieces of firm and slimy cartilage in two separate spots of my patty. The meat quality seems to be somewhat inconsistent.
Giving the benefit of the doubt and only subtracting one star for this. Will return again at some point to give it another go.
One other thing to note is that their hamburger menu is apparently only available during lunch hours. After one of the staff members told me this, the owner made an exception and let me order off the burger menu, but I imagine that would not be a regular occurrence for all customers.
I strongly recommend they offer their diverse burger menu during dinner hours, otherwise it is a waste to offer an assortment of dense meals only during lunch when fewer people are likely to order it.
