With the storefront just saying “au” rather than the cafe’s name, Blue Leaf Cafe, I was under the impression that it was not open to everybody but only for the au customers visiting. I, not an au user or potential customer, was hesitantly getting in, to find out that anyone could place an order. It is conveniently located on Chuo-dori, close to both Ueno station and Ueno Okachimachi station. There were not many seats available because of social distancing.

Just a little confusing that they share the space w/ a couple of mobile phone retail booths. Very near Ueno park, great stop after a day there. We were here during opening week and got a free black tote. ❤️
S	Stephanie C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Swanky interior and cool music! They cycled between R&B, hip hop, instrumental prog rock, and reggaeton; definitely not your average Japan music lineup. Free WiFi. The quiche wasn't the best I've ever had; the taste was fine, and it was flaky, but it was a bit soggy. I suspect they didn't reheat it properly. The side salad in the lunch set was nice. Coffee was average.
