み	みなもとのメル友 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 金沢などでは旧町名の復活をやっているが、墨田区でも吾嬬（吾妻）町、寺島町などを復活させたらどうだろうか。歴史は大切にすべきだと思う。 Old town names are being revived in places such as Kanazawa, but why not rejuvenate Azuma town, Terashima town in Sumida Ward? I think history should be cherished.

乙	乙名丹次郎 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ほかの方の口コミにもあるように、弟橘媛（オトタチバナヒメ）を祀る神社で、日本武尊が彼女を「我が妻＝アヅマ」と呼んだのが由来とされる。この一帯、いまは姫の名の方を取って「タチバナ」なる町名だが、かつては吾嬬（アヅマ）村であった。なぜあえてアヅマの地名を残さなかったのか。この神社と土地の関係を、後世にわかりにくくする愚行であると思う。ついでに言えば、隣の「文花」は、「文教施設が多くて、立花のとなり」として合成された町名だが、ここまで来ると、旧地名抹殺への執念まで感じてしまう。とはいえ、「吾嬬」も文字遣いとしては明治になって与えられたもののようだ。「嬬」は、第一義的に「側室」「妾」を指す。江戸期の地図にもない、この字を選んだ訳がわからない。 As others have said, at the shrine dedicated to his younger brother, Ototachi Banahime, it is said that Nihon Takeson called her "My wife = Azuma". K	Keigo Yuda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創建年代不詳。弟橘姫の日本武尊と同行中に暴風雨を鎮める為に海に身投げをした伝説の後遺品が当地に流れ着き、塚を作り祀ったというロマンある神社。祭神は東京では数少ない弟橘姫を祀る神社である。境内には日本武尊の箸を刺した所から2つの幹を持つ樟が育ったという伝説があるが現在では根と幹の一部しか残っていない。伝説の地としては静かだが、感慨深い神社です。御朱印無 Unknown date of establishment. y	yuuta ishikawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 神社があるのは、知っていたが、浅草の吾妻橋の渡った先にあるのかと思っていて、亀戸駅から近い、この場所にあったのかと歩いていて気付きました。主祭神が弟橘媛で、日本武尊が合祀されてます。側の、亀戸香取神社と違って参拝者も、全然訪れませんが、参道も整備されていて静かな雰囲気でいいです。由緒も、もう少し見やすければ良かったのですが。 I knew that there was a shrine, but I was wondering if it was across the Azumabashi bridge in Asakusa, and when I was walking, I realized that it was in this place near Kameido station. The main deity is Oto Tachibana, and Yamato Takeru is enshrined. E	Eiji Saai on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 戸駅から明治通りを北に向かい徒歩１５～２０分くらい歩き、北十間川に架かる福神橋を渡った右側に鳥居が見えます。拝殿の後に石の社殿が有り、日本尊命が東征した際に、房総半島にわたる海が荒れ、弟橘姫命が身を投げて海を鎮めましたが、その弟橘姫命の遺品がこの浮洲に流れ着き、日本武尊がこれを祭ったのが神社の始まりとされています。なお、社殿は鉄柵で囲まれていた入ることは出来ません。 From To Station, walk north on Meiji-dori for about 15 to 20 minutes, and you will see the torii gate on the right side across the Fukujin Bridge over the Kitajukken River.
