石を祀る石神信仰で、古くは井戸からでた石器時代の石棒をご神体としていたようですが、石棒は失ってしまったようです。弘法大師によって発見された社があったのですが、戦災で社殿を焼失してしまい、いまの小祠になったそうです。
祠は石造りになっています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2016/11/20参拝 こじんまりした神社だが歴史は古い。古文書では弘法大師が訪れ見つけたとある。別名おしゃもじ稲荷と呼ばれ咳の病にご神徳あり。小さな祠の中には大きなおしゃもじが奉納されている。通常は無人のようで御朱印は頂けない。他の神社で授与しているとのコメントがあるが間違いだ。亀戸七福神参拝の時には是非立ち寄ってみたい。
