A shrine on the hillside of Mt. Daishi, behind Kosai-ji Temple.
According to the luck of Kosaiji, Emperor Heizei (the son of Emperor Kanmu) in the early Heian period built Esu-an to enshrine the Shogun (Katsugun) Jizo Bodhisattva, who is said to be the home Buddha of Atago Gongen, in Suzu's Dead Kigaura. Is the beginning of Kosai-ji Temple. It seems that it was the Tendai sect at first.
After that, after a transition, the Shogun Jizo Bodhisattva was moved to the present location in 1650 in the early Edo period, and Esu-an also moved to the foot of the mountain, and after a while it became the Rinzai sect and became Enishiji.
The view from Kosai-ji is good, but the view from here is also superb, and the view from the top of Mt. Daishi is even more pleasant.
