電線と電柱とNEXT21のコントラストが絶妙で奇跡的な景観といえる。
宮田珠己の巨大仏の本読んでいたらこの弘法大師が登場してて笑った。多分、宮田珠己ように感じる人がほとんどだと思うがやはり文がうまい。以下本引用。
「『空海星人』は建て込んだ一画に周囲の電線とからみあって、猥雑で見事な風景をつくりだしていた。

なんでわざわざこんなところに、という必然性のなさ。巨大仏と呼ぶには小さいが、見ごたえは十分だ。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20年ぶりに訪れたら廃墟になっていた不気味な巨大仏像がある寺院。
特に新潟市民から愛される存在にもならず、不気味な弘法の仏像が長年ほったらかしのままで、後ろ側は段々と朽ち果ててきているのが痛々しい。
先日見た高岡大仏とはだいぶ扱いが違っており、何の為に作ったのかすらもはや意味不明である。
最終的に目を光らせるとか、真っ赤にライトアップでもすればインパクトが出るかもしれない。
