Situated right beside Togetsu bridge, a famous tourist spot of Arashiyama.
You can enjoy awesome bridge view by sitting at the window seat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice traditional atmosphere. They actually have two separate restaurants one overlooking the river, the other oriented towards a small Japanese garden. Both seem cool but you don’t know in which one you will end up since the line is the same and they just seat you in the one that has available tables first.

It you can have a seat by the window, you're going to enjoy not only food but scenery as well. In Spring or autumn are very recommended. But always very crowded, usually wait for an hour at least.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic quality soba with a great view. English menu available with friendly staff. I recommend one of the cold soba sets. Great texture to the noodles and nice variety of side dishes. Go early as the queue can get large, however it does move quickly as they serve quite fast. Definitely one of the best restaurants in a very touristy area. About ¥2000 per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice zaru soba on a warm day, topped with tempura prawns. This shop is famous for their soba and tempura so that's kinda what we went for. But judging from the expression on the other diners, everything is good.
View is good too!

I tried tempura and zaru soba.
It is usually delicious.
The economy of Kyoto and Togetsukyo will make you feel better.
The price is ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place, quiet and Japanese atmosphere. Food was delicious and staff kind & helpful. Bit crowded, but to be expected. Not overly expensive considering the location and menu. Recommended if you want a taste of Kyoto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome views and delicious Soba noodles which are a must if you visit Kyoto. The staff was really friendly and spoke enough English to make me feel comfortable and explain how to properly eat my food. I recommend you come here with an empty stomach because the set meals are very filling and the prices are reasonable.
