滑津大滝のほど近くに建つ安藤家本陣は、江戸時代後期、参勤交代で使われた大名宿で、街道に面して切妻破風（きりつまはふ）に懸魚をつけた玄関があり、大名が家来を謁見（えっけん）する上段の間、寝床を守る殿居の間などがそのまま残っています。屋根は茅葺、その棟上に置かれたくらかけは、この辺の特徴で、歴史的風俗を漂わせています。安藤家は天保期以降に滑津の肝煎検断・本陣を勤めました。現在、住居として使われておりますので内部は非公開となっています。ご注意下さい。
