Great place to learn how Marketing happened in the world for the first time here. Then follow thru how Japan developed their own unique marketing techniques down from 360 years ago to the future. Must-visit place for advertising and marketing people.

Decided to visit a museum for once while being in Japan and was impressed. A nice history of Japan’s advertising (in English) though interactive platforms. Having studied advertising in the US, I enjoyed this place a lot.

Amazing museum with tons of information, materials, and English support. Absolutely worth a visit if you’re interested in design, art, or history. Free admission, photography allowed, awesome staff.

One of the most interesting museum we visited in our trip, and it’s FREE! It’s very well narrated and informative while keeping it not boring like other museums. The temporary exhibition was great too.

Really well equipped and designed museum. Completely free. They have audiopresentations in English so don't worry if you don't speak Japanese. The staff if very kind and accommodating. The story starts as early as Edo period. You'll have a chance to watch some internationally awarded ads at the end which is very cool. Great place to go during a rainy day.

A really wonderful ad museum with very up-to-date information. To my surprise, everything is included in English! I honestly had very low expectation because it is free admission. The Ad Museum Tokyo totally exceeded my expectation. They have many interactive displays, and even a library upstair that is nice and quiet. Very worthwhile to visit especially if you are into advertising and design.

A great way to gain a better understanding of the history of advertising in Japan. The entire journey would likely take you 45-60 mins to fully explore the work. There's a guided tour upon request, a great way to start your learning journey. Some exhibits are interactive, with touch screen panels. There's also a neat hands on experience on how wood block prints work. Just ask reception for the post cards and you are on your way; stamping it at dedicated stations to reveal an iconic block print. Upstairs is the library, but unless you understand Japanese, there's nothing much for the average Joe. Don't miss the interesting selection of souvenirs. It's cash only by the way.

I stayed here for 3 hours. A hidden gem of Shinbashi! It's free and fascinating. Don't miss the huge Ghibli-esque clock nearby. I shall visit again.
