Namiyoke shrine and its ferocious lion-dogs weighing 700kg for the female one and a ton for the male one. They’ve been paraded each year since Edo period.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smallish shrine located near Tsukiji Fish Market. The shrine of the God Namiyoke-Inari that protects against misfortune and helps people to overcome turmoil. The shrine is unique where many things related to the sea and sushi can be found.
Don’t miss the festival held July this year (2021) which is usually June, where they parade the two large lion heads.
