東屋もあるので、天気の良い日はボーッとするのに最適です。
It has a good view and is quiet.
There is also an eastern store, so it's perfect for a daze on a sunny day.

宗派が違うとか「親鸞聖人の上陸しただけの場所でしょ」何て云わないで行ってみてください。
只、海と砂浜を見下ろすだけの場所ですけど。
駐車場に引かれた曲線が、駐車枠になっていて思わず関心。
隣接する『見真堂』のお陰でしょうかパワースポットだと思います。
It is a 5-minute drive from "Joetsu Aquarium Umigatari".
Don't say that the denominations are different or "It's just the place where Shinran saints landed."
It's just a place overlooking the sea and the beach.
The curve drawn in the parking lot is a parking frame and I am interested in it.
I think it's a power spot, probably because of the adjacent "Mishindo".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄土真宗の宗祖である親鸞上人が新潟に配流になった際に、眼前の居多ヶ浜の砂浜に船で上陸されたそうです。
ちなみに師である法然上人の他の弟子が不始末をして、時の権力者である後鳥羽上皇を激怒させてしまった為、そのとばっちりで高弟である親鸞上人まで処罰されたもので、特に上人自身が何かをやらかした訳ではありません。
親鸞上人は、この地でさらに修行を積み、冬の豪雪、荒波の日本海を見つめつつ思索を深めていったとのことです。この配流の時代が無ければ、後の親鸞上人は誕生しなかったとも言われています。
仮に現在、仏教で日本最大の信者数と末寺数を誇る浄土真宗の教団が、発生しなかったとすれば、日本の仏教の歴史は全く違ったものになっていた事だけは間違いないでしょう。
親鸞上人は、船から砂浜に第一歩を踏み出した時に「人間にとっては小さな一歩だが、日本仏教界にとっては大きな一歩である。」という自覚はあったのでしょうか（笑）。

By the way, another disciple of Honen, who is a teacher, mischieved and infuriated Emperor Go-Toba, who was in power at the time, so even his high-ranking younger brother, Shinran, was punished. In particular, the superior himself did not do anything.
It is said that Shinran trained further in this area and deepened his thoughts while gazing at the heavy snowfall in winter and the rough seas of the Sea of Japan. It is said that without this era of exile, the later Shinran superiors would not have been born.
If the Jodo Shinshu sect, which currently boasts the largest number of believers and Sueji temples in Japan, did not occur, there is no doubt that the history of Japanese Buddhism would have been completely different.
Did Shinran realize that when he took the first step from the ship to the beach, he realized that "it is a small step for humans, but a big step for the Japanese Buddhist world" (laughs).

If you don't know the Shinran saint, it's just an observatory on the coast, but if you go after a bit of history, the scenery will look a little different.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 流刑になった親鸞聖人が上陸した居多ヶ浜の展望台です。
眺望も良かったですが、各種石碑や居多ヶ浜記念堂、見真堂などがあり、親鸞聖人ファンなので興奮してしまいました。
It is an observatory of Itagahama where the exiled Shinran saint landed.
The view was good, but there were various stone monuments, the Itagahama Memorial Hall, and the Mishindo, and I was excited because I was a fan of Shinran Saints.
