★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧石器時代から近世までの遺構や遺物が出土した貝塚です。習志野市の北西部、津田沼駅の南側から奏の杜や谷津の広い範囲にわたる習志野市最大の遺跡です。主に奈良時代と平安時代に栄えた大きな集落で、竪穴建物跡が470軒以上、掘立柱建物跡が240棟以上がありました。大量の墨書だけでなく、海老鍵や帯金具や銭貨など金属製品の遺物が出土しています。一部の貴重な出土物は習志野市指定有形文化財に指定されています。
谷津奏の杜公園に説明の看板が設置されています。
 It is a shell mound where remains and relics from the Paleolithic period to the early modern period were excavated. It is the largest archaeological site in Narashino City, covering a wide area from Kanadenomori and Yatsu from the south side of Tsudanuma Station in the northwestern part of Narashino City. It was a large settlement that prospered mainly during the Nara and Heian periods, with more than 470 pit-house buildings and more than 240 excavated pillar buildings. Not only a large amount of ink books, but also relics of metal products such as shrimp keys, band fittings and coins have been excavated. Some valuable excavated materials are designated as tangible cultural properties designated by Narashino City.
An explanation signboard is installed at Yatsu Kanadenomori Park.
