講談発祥記念之碑由来の記元禄の昔, 赤松清左衛門は浅草見附辺の町辻で太平記を講じ, 江戸講釈の発祥となった。これが後に「太平記講釈場」に発展して長く庶民に親しまれ, 安政年間,「太平記場起原之碑」が建てられた。この碑はその後, 当不動院境内に移され大正１２年の関東大震災まで名物となっていた。この度, 当不動院と講談協会との因縁により, 真言宗宗祖弘法大師一千百五十年御遠忌を記念し, 相はかって茲に新たに建碑をなすものである。大僧正高橋隆天撰弘法大師一千百五十年御遠忌記念大本山川崎大師平間寺昭和５９年秋吉祥　　東京別院薬研堀不動院講談協会講談発祥の資料提供　日本大学国文学部教授　民俗芸能研究家　永井啓夫氏

This later developed into the "Taheiki Kodan" and was loved by the common people for a long time, and during the Ansei era, the "Taheiki Kodan Monument" was built. This monument was later moved to the precincts of Fudoin and was a specialty until the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. This time, due to the connection between the Fudoin Temple and the Kodan Association, the minister once made a new monument to commemorate the 1150th anniversary of the Shingon Buddhist sect Kobo Daishi. 薬研堀不動院の境内にあります。弘法大師1,150年御遠忌を記念して由縁の碑を建てたもの。安政年間に建立された「太平記場起原之碑」が、のち不動院に移され長く名物であったが、関東大震災で焼損していたもの。境内には遍路大師の像、順天堂発祥之地碑、納めの歳の市之碑があります。
