k	kohicihi honma on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅前は広く整備されています。ただ高架駅なのにバリアフリーではないので残念です。駅前の公衆トイレはとても綺麗で、なんとウォシュレット付き！コインロッカーも公衆トイレのところにあります。バスがメインみたいなので仕方ないのでしょうか？駅ナカのトイレもウォシュレット付きでした！ The front of the station is well maintained. It's a shame because it's an elevated station but it's not barrier-free. The public toilet in front of the station is very clean and comes with a washlet! Coin lockers are also available at public toilets. Is it unavoidable because the bus seems to be the main? The toilet in Eki-naka also had a washlet!
河	河野徹 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR鹿島線と鹿島臨海鉄道･大洗鹿島線との｢乗換駅｣。注意しないといけないのは、当駅が2社の境界駅じゃないということ。本当の境界駅は1つ先の鹿島サッカースタジアム駅だが、サッカーやイベント開催の時のみ営業する臨時駅の為通常は通過扱いになる。鹿嶋市の中心駅にあたるが市街地から少々離れている為駅周辺はとても静かだ。市街地に出たり鹿島神宮等名所旧跡を巡る場合、バス利用は余りオススメできない。本数も限られ待ち時間が多くなるのは目に見えているのでタクシー利用が無難だ。都心からのアクセスは、現実的な選択として高速バスが一番便利だと思う。鉄道利用の場合は品川及び東京から特急で水戸に出て鹿島臨海鉄道に乗り換えるのが速いと思う。間違えても千葉･成田回りで行ってはいけない。全て快速または各駅の乗り継ぎしかなくなるので時間がかかるからだ。 A "transfer station" between the JR Kashima Line and the Kashima Seaside Railway / Orai Kashima Line.
