★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国指定の史跡。河川に設けられた台場（砲台）は珍しく、淀川左岸のここと淀川右岸の高浜台場しかない。
慶応元年（1865年）に完成。会津藩主である松平容保が外国船の入洛阻止の建白を訴え勝海舟が奉行となり造営した歴史ある立派な史跡です。
A historic site designated by the country. The daiba (turret) on the river is rare, and there are only here on the left bank of the Yodo River and Takahama Daiba on the right bank of the Yodo River.
