帝釈天歩きで寄って一休みと美味しいカツ丼頂きました。カツ丼は甘じょっぱくて好みでした。
Old-fashioned soba shop
We stopped by at Teishakuten and had a rest and a delicious katsudon. Katsudon was sweet and salty and I liked it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The soba here is absolutely delicious. For a full appreciation of the noodles, I recommend getting the chilled noodles rather than the hot ones. The noodles are quite thin compared to other soba restaurants, and you can tell that the cooks put a lot of effort into their food. I had a summer special with chilled noodles, tempura mochi, fake crab and a slice of ? lemon. My friend had a hot soba noodle bowl with tempura shrimp ?. The place has a beautiful tiny garden in the back that draws in gentle light, and some cool artwork and decorations giving it oodles of historical nostalgia! The little old lady and her son (I believe) run the place, and they are extremely friendly. NOTE: The menu on the wall is not up-to-date with the pricing, but you get an idea of what they offer. The menu that they hand you has the actual prices printed in it.
