There was a 30minute wait on a Tuesday afternoon. The eel was soft and well marinated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Need waiting an hour when getting there at around 11 am. Just bought takeout (bento) at half price (from 2000 to 1000 yen) by using 'Visit Hiroshima Tourist Pass' . Eel rice bento not bad

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited at 10 am and at that time, only we can choose is Bento's size. Tea is included. Take out service is also okay. If you are going to Miyazima after here, I recommend take the Bento out and eat other foods in Miyazima. It made me full.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good. I chose takeaway which is cheaper than eating in. If I recall correctly, it is 1800yen for a small takeaway portion. I don’t find their service staff that friendly or helpful on that day. It was sunny and she gestured me to wait outside while they have another empty space next door with seats and no customers. I went into that space to wait instead.

worth the visit ; came at 4pm plus so no queue no crowd and enjoyed my eel without much wait.
business is good at this place ; a lot of take away orders and walk in customers ...
highly recommended!
i had the finest bowl which cost ¥2400 per bowl

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most famous restaurant, it might be famous before Miyajima to be a tourist destination. Everyone waiting to have a seat. This doctrine is old. 50 years ago as today, this restaurant is the famous one in the whole region. Also, the place did not change most of the authentic atmosphere for almost 50 years. To complete Miyajima and may be Hiroshima tour, this place should be on your agenda.
