h	hiromi sato on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄土宗のお寺で法然上人の直弟子の金光上人と言う方が開山のようです。当初は養安寺だったそうですが、善明寺と言う名前は八戸にあった寺が根城南部氏の遠野入部に際して一緒に移ってきて、合併したためらしいです。天狗の牙が展示されています。境内にあるイチイの古木は樹齢800年と言うことで、市の文化財にも指定されているそうです。しかし、この寺の最大の特徴はやはり「供養絵額」でしょうか。和室の鴨居に何枚かの絵額が掛けられています。亡くなった方を供養するため、その人に縁ある情景が描かれています。例えば産後の日達が悪くて若くして亡くなった御菓子屋さんの娘であれば、お菓子を食べながら赤ん坊を抱いているといった様子が描かれている訳です。遺族の悲しい想いが感じられて切ない気持ちになります。 It seems that Kaizan is the person who is a direct disciple of the Honen superior at the temple of the Jodo sect. Beautiful and old trees there. The temple is surrounded by a huge cemetery, that is continuous with the cemetery surrounding the neighboring temples.
