★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this little peaceful oasis in the busy city. I probably loved it more because there were Cherry blossoms when I went there. However, it is a nice quiet area and it was fascinating to see the temple and cemetery. If you are walking around that area it is worth stopping in to take a short rest and appreciate the temple while having a refreshment from the vending machine tucked around the wall to the right when you first walk in. There are a couple of little shrines just before the cemetery and it's just a peaceful little spot. Great for taking pictures, too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not sure if this temple was closed or you can only explore the grounds? It was very pretty, but not worth our trek out of the way as the surrounding neighborhoods are upscale and not very interesting if you’re trying to explore Tokyo.

One of the largest temples in Japan. It’s a treat for History lovers.
Must visit place if you are in Nagano.
