★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019年の2月中旬に訪れました。日和山、震災遺構のかまぼこ佐々直、そしてこの慰霊碑を目的としての自転車旅でしたが、前の二つを除いて周りは一帯更地になっており造成林、住宅地の再建に向けた工事が進んでいました。あれから八年が経ってもこの慰霊碑には花束が供えられており、けっしてあの震災が遠い日の出来事ではなく当事者にとっては今なお続いている出来事であることを実感させられました。
慰霊碑の高さは津波の高さと同じであの日の津波の巨大さをその目をもって確認することができます。ぜひ周りに何があってどのような生活が営まれていたのかについて思いを馳せながら、手を合わせてください。
I visited in mid-February 2019. It was a bicycle trip for the purpose of Mt. Hiyori, Kamaboko Sasanao of the remains of the earthquake, and this memorial monument, but except for the previous two, the surrounding area is a vacant lot and it is for reconstruction of a forest and a residential area. Construction was in progress. Eight years after that, the memorial monument still had a bouquet, which made me realize that the earthquake was not a distant event, but an ongoing event for the parties concerned.
The height of the memorial monument is the same as the height of the tsunami, and you can see the hugeness of the tsunami on that day with your own eyes. Please join hands while thinking about what was happening around you and what kind of life you were living in.

復興が完了するのはまだ先だが、日に日に変わり行く閖上の町を体感できる場所でもある。
The parking lot is getting better and the whole area is being maintained.
Although reconstruction is still about to be completed, it is also a place where you can experience the ever-changing town of Sakai.

日和山から見た景色が
一つの町が無くなってしまって
涙も出ないくらい唖然として海を見てました。 昔行った魚屋さんお寿司やさんが今でも心に残っています。忘れません。
2時46分にサイレンが鳴り……合掌。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今日は、東日本大震災から7年なので、義姉のお墓詣りの帰りに寄って来ました。昼前までいましたが、閖上朝市のお客様は増える一方でした。警備や案内の人が見当たらない気がしました。名取市の応援や商工会議所などの協力が必要ではないでしょか。
Today is 7 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake, so I visited my sister-in-law's grave-return home. I was there before noon, but the number of customers in Yamijo Morning Market was increasing. I felt that there were no security guards or guides. Isn't it necessary to support Natori City and cooperate with the Chamber of Commerce?

すっかり綺麗に整備された公園ですが、震災前はこの場所にところ狭しと家々が立ち並び普通の生活があったんだなと思うと何だか寂しい気持ちになってしまいました。
This photo shows the scenery from the neighboring Mt. Hiwa, but both are close to each other.
The park is completely well maintained, but before the earthquake, I felt lonely when I thought that there were many houses lined up in this place and I had a normal life.
