It is located near Yorii Town, a little away from Takezawa Station on the JR Hachiko Line, and is the oldest old folk house in Saitama Prefecture where you can see the actual age (built in 1712). Although it is a nationally designated important cultural property, it is open to the public, and it is surprising that you can eat around the hearth.

I am grateful that you just opened the oldest wooden house in Saitama prefecture. You can freely look around to the second floor of the precious structure ✨ You can bake buns and chicken yourself in the hearth, and you can also order handmade soba, tempura and freshly brewed coffee ? Yakitori It was delicious ? Oh, there is a hearth so there is no choice but to smoke ? Souvenirs were also pretty cute ? ?

It is a soba restaurant that regenerates an old folk house and has a nice atmosphere. The dumplings and yakitori made from rice flour, which you bake yourself in the hearth, are fun. Of course, the soba is shredded and easy to eat, and the sauce is delicious ... It's your favorite soup stock ? When I returned to my childhood, somehow ... I felt like I was back in my countryside ? This is the shop I want to visit again!

The Yoshida House is the oldest private house in Saitama Prefecture, built in 1721. It was designated as a national important cultural property building in 1989. Due to the significant damage to the building due to deterioration over time, a complete renovation work was carried out over three years from 1997. It seems that solo exhibitions and events are held irregularly. A 10-minute walk from JR Takezawa Station, there are 15 parking lots ?️. Admission is free, but closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

March in spring. I received soba. Vegetable Tenzaru is 1,000 yen. It has a so-called old folk house restaurant atmosphere. It seems that you can bake and eat yakitori, yakitori, etc. in the hearth. You can enjoy the feeling of a petite trip.

You can dine in a 300-year-old folk house. There is a hearth, and the dumplings that you bake while dipping them in soy sauce are exceptional. The loquat tea boiled in the hearth was also delicious. Perhaps because there were few customers, I was able to talk with the owner of the shop and my mom, and had a wonderful time. This is a recommended place.

Beautiful historic home, very hands on, you can explore the second floor and roast dango over the open fire! There were lots of food and drinks on sale there including udon and soba noodles. Lots of nostalgic kids to play with. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a great place to take both kids and adults!!

Saitama's oldest residence and a "National Important Cultural Property". There's a fascinating back story to the how and why it still exists today, although it was nearly torn down 30 years ago when the last residents were moving out. The kind wife of the man whose family lived there for 300 years was very animated and engaging regaling the story. We were a group of 20 and they were very efficient in serving us our delicious traditional Japanese lunch. There are books and toys for kids to play with. The two earthen fires are lit all year round, even in the height of summer as the smoke protects the thatch roof from insects.
